The Catholic Church pays keen attention on education as it plays pivotal role in transformation of human beings ripening the capacity for right judgment. Ms. Susan Njau the deputy director of quality assurance at the Ministry of education who was the main guest during the function, asked teachers to train students and pupils on caring for the environment and life skills.

She said that most of the indiscipline in schools has been blamed on irresponsible parenthood, saying that, with the threat of globalization parents, guardians and teachers need to be vigilant in what the child is consuming in the social world.

She pleaded with teachers not stigmatize students or pupils on the basis of their status. Calling on all education stakeholders in the diocese to have a firm determination.

FINANCE |MANAGING OUR RESOURCES

Year 2016 the diocese witnessed major milestones in development by launching two important documents; the five year strategic plan and diocesan financial manual.

The 2016-2020 Strategic Plan sets a framework to reorganize our resources and refocus our energy and operations towards a common goal and vision. This collectively calls for sterling stewardship, change of mindset, strategic alignment and management to effectively implement the document.
